The Recessionista hardly considers Garden Ridge the acme of high fashion, however today they are having a one-day shop-a-thon with those solar light thingies you twist together and plant in your yard at $20 for a set of 8. Don't be fooled by their shelves into getting the not-on-sale sets of 4 or 10 or 12. But stock up on those sets of 8 because it's less expensive even than simply replacing the batteries in the ones you have that are worn out.
Bedding was also a steal, but already picked over by noon. Perhaps they'll re-stock, but there are still some cute comforter sets if not. From Twin through King sizes.
Alas, the pink flamingoes were NOT on sale ($13 for a set of 2). Neither was the movie-theatre size candies by the cash register, but Recessionista still pocketed a few because they're still 1/3 the cost of the ones at the theatres. Shhh, don't tell.
